If you have a project that is in need of some additional writing, editing or a critique, check out the following for details and email me at eloy@eloythesaint.com so we can start a back-and-forth.

Freelancer Writing

One of my favorite things to do is to take an idea that someone else has created, and then mold and shape it with ideas of my own. I enjoy working in others sandboxes and am well-versed in many different RPG, companies, and specific games/systems. If yours is one I haven’t heard of, I’m also a quick learner to make the process go along quicker. I excel at game writing, mechanics and fiction, so feel free to contact me for any kind of work.

The Cost is Negotiable. I have worked for very little and worked for a lot, but if the idea is juicy enough then we can talk.

Editorial Work

I’ve been doing editing for about 5 years now, primarily for Third Eye Games, but for other projects (RPG and fiction) as well. I can’t promise that every single mistake will be caught, but proper editing can help to avoid disastrous reviews and terrible mistakes often made when during the writing process. Let me help you make your project better!

The Cost is anywhere from $0.03/word to $0.05/word, depending upon the complexity of the project.

RPG Critique Services

I’m definitely not one to toot my own horn, but I have been making games for years, and I’ve gotten pretty good at it. With this service, let me use my experience in game design and mechanics balancing to give you the run down on how good your game is. This service includes a full reading of your game, character creation evaluation and balance check, playtesting with my local group of fellow game designers/avid roleplayers and a full report letting you know how the system balances, how approachable your game setting is and possible loopholes, and suggestions on how to make it better, from adding new rules to stripping others away for simplicity. I am fully versed many game systems, so I can assist with conversions as well. Of course, anything I suggest is up to your discretion of whether you want to change it, but getting the opinion of a game designer in the current RPG industry can make the difference in salability.

The Cost is generally $250 for the average RPG. Long manuscripts or overly complicated mechanics that take longer to “get” may alter the price. We’ll have a long talk about price changes before any money changes hands, though.
