My talk with the amazing RPG artist Melissa Gay. We talk about our work together on Part-Time Gods (mostly about the art and art direction) and then we ramble on about lots of other things. There’s a lot of really good tips for freelance writers and artists in this one if you listen closely.

I found this show very interesting, one thing I would have like for you to touch on would be what as a game designer you could be expecting to pay for art work, as I am in the process of creating my own game at the moment I wold be interested in how art is usually commissioned, is it on a one by one deal or do you normally buy like 10 from the same artest. And if they do a piece of work for you but you are not happy with it and you get them to modify the picture is this class as another piece of art work you have to pay for. Or just a revision of the original work, (with respect you don’t make them do ten changes on each piece)
Any comments/advice would be great.
Thanks Ray
